Must Read!

I had been hearing good reviews about The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo by Stieg Larsson and had put it on my To Read list. It was my second book that I read on my Nook Color. (By the way did I say I love my Nook?) Well, needless to say I ended up reading the complete Millennium series in record time! I have been recommending this series to anyone that I have seen reading this summer. Have you read.....? The mystery surrounding the characters is intriguing and keeps you on your seats edge. As soon as I finished Book 1, I had to purchase the 2nd Book and the same for the 3rd in the series. I was not disappointed in any of the books! There are some sexual explicit moments in the books but they do not overwhelm the story. The unjustice that is dealt to the main character results in you cheering for her to overcome all obstacles that have been put into her life. I list this as a Must Read!

Finally!

Well, the past 3 years I have been working toward my masters for Instructional Media, and I finally completed my degree. I haven't been able to read as much as I would like to because of the assignment demands for college. However, that is finished and I have read several books this summer with my new Nook Color. Love it! I have to be careful because now all I want to do is READ. I had almost forgotten how much I really love curling up on the sofa, relaxing and reading a good book!

Dewey the Small Town Library Cat

One of the books that I read this summer was about Dewey the Small Town Library Cat. If you love animals this is a must read. The story begins with the finding of Dewey in the library. It goes through his life and what he became to mean to Spencer, a small town in Iowa. It made me laugh and cry. As many of you know I am a pet lover especially toward the felines. It affirmed my thoughts on how animals can affect our lives and how much they can become part of our family. I loved it and would recommend the book, Dewey the Small Town Library Cat by Vicki Myron.

Summer Reading...

I have created this blog to talk about books. It is a place that I hope my peers, friends and family can discuss books that they have read recently. If you are a fellow book lover and want to share your thoughts or emotions about a book that has been read...This is the place!
